RELEASE: TRENTON’S BAD BET WELCOMES OUR TURN NJ TO DISCUSSION

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: August 3, 2016

Newark, NJ (August 3, 2016) – Today, the executive director of Trenton’s Bad Bet responded to the launch of OUR Turn NJ, a group in favor of the casino referendum that benefits Trenton politicians and hurts New Jersey families.

“New Jersey voters know better than anyone that we can’t trust Trenton.  Elected officials have repeatedly broken their promises, and the casino referendum will harm taxpayers and reward the special interests,” said Bill Cortese, executive director of Trenton’s Bad Bet. “Whether it’s failing to address rising property taxes, properly funding hard-earned pensions or adequately managing roads, Trenton has not delivered and a referendum designed behind closed doors is just another bad bet.”
